Glowing Sands is a gallery in the heart of Evansville,
Indiana's blossoming
Haynie's Corner Arts District. Glowing Sands
is proud to present the flameworked glass,
Glass Micro Image Photography, and mixed media art
of Dene Stephens, and the
kiln-formed glass and jewelry creations
of Doni Stephens.
Rotating exhibitions will also be scheduled featuring the work of
other artisans. Please browse the site, and feel
encouraged to contact us. It is truly an exciting time for the arts
in Downtown Evansville, and for Glowing Sands Gallery.
- This
ongoing feature at the Glowing Sands Gallery was created by Dene
and Doni to provide artists and collectors a venue not only for
exhibition and sale, but also fellowship, collaboration, and
inspiration for those seeking it.
"Looking to utilize our space and broaden beyond the previous
niche of offering strictly glass art, this series represents a
welcome change. From the beginning, we envisioned
representing other artists working in different media, but first
wanted to establish who we were, which initially was strictly a
glass gallery. We have formed good relationships with many local
and regional artists though, and it makes sense for us to use
our venue and expand the scope of what we do."
- Capturing
another snapshot of some of the talented artists creating in
southern Indiana, Glowing Sands Gallery is pleased to announce
the 2nd installment of “The Big Picture” Art Series. The
exhibition will run from Sat. February 6th-Sun. March 7th. The
opening reception (open to the public) is Sat.
Feb. 6th from 5-8pm.
Glowing Sands is proud to present the ceramic art of Julie
Byczynski, the paintings and digital illustrations of Gary Logan
Hobdy, and the acrylic paintings of Nicole McClain. Please join
us for the opening, and enjoy the art and fellowship in a
relaxed environment. All dress welcome and refreshments will be
available. Glowing Sands is located at 1007 Parrett Street,
